![]() Joshua & Israel Cross the Jordan Riverĥ And Joshua said to the people, “Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do wonders among you.” 6 Then Joshua spoke to the priests, saying, “Take up the ark of the covenant and cross over before the people.” So they took up the ark of the covenant and went before the people.ħ And the LORD said to Joshua, “This day I will begin to exalt you in the sight of all Israel, that they may know that, as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. Thus it was a cloud and darkness to the one, and it gave light by night to the other, so that the one did not come near the other all that night.Ģ1 Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided.Ģ2 So the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.īy an act of faith, Israel walked through the Red Sea on dry ground. 20 So it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel. 18 Then the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I have gained honor for Myself over Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen.”ġ9 And the Angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them and the pillar of cloud went from before them and stood behind them. ![]() So I will gain honor over Pharaoh and over all his army, his chariots, and his horsemen. ![]() 17 And I indeed will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall follow them. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea. 16 But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. Moses Parts the Water (Red Sea)ġ5 And the LORD said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward. God made this space to separate the waters of the earth from the waters of the heavens. ![]() GOD Separates the WaterĦ Then God said, “Let there be a space between the waters, to separate the waters of the heavens from the waters of the earth.” 7 And that is what happened.
